Marigolds

- Lizabeth's little sister had laundry duty and so that means that she had to do everybody's laundry in the house . Before Lizabeth left the house her little sister had gotten frustrated at her for wearing her shirt . So when Lizabeth's little sister went to go wash her clothes she did not even bother to separate her dedicates from the huge pile in her room because of how upset she was at Lizabeth's . So shoved all her clothes into the washer very aggressively . When Lizabeth came home the first thing sister said was " your load is in the washer and will be out soon ". Lizabeth's eyes filled with tears because in that pile she knew that her mothers shirt . That shirt meant a lot to her because that was the last thing she had left from her mother after she passed . This reminded her of the time she too had done something similar to miss Lottie's marigolds .
- After Lizabeth had this realization she decided to go to Miss Lottie's house to apologize . She knocked on the door too see miss lotties face . Miss Lottie was in complete shock . " Hello miss Lottie !" Lizabeth said with sweaty palms . Miss lottie still in shock replied " Lizabeth ?! " . After all this time Lizabeth couldn't believe miss Lottie would remember her . Lizabeth got on her knees and cried out " Yes that's me I am the horrible person who destroyed your marigolds ! " . Miss Lottie looked at her a let out a little giggle , " yes I remember , that was long ago dear . I was so distraught when you had done this but with time I didn't not see any reason to be upset with you it would not benefit me . But my child why ever so did you to this to me and my marigolds " . Lizabeth wondered how someone could be so kind . She exclaimed " You see my family was in great poverty really everyone was . Everything was so ugly and rough looking but your marigolds looked so beautiful and that made me upset . It frustrated me to see such beautiful things be in an ugly world . This caused me to hate them because they did not fit in with the way everything else looked . One day I was frustrated at everything and too it out on your beautiful flowers . But I was not aware of all the hard work that went into these flowers . I was a selfish arrogant child . This taught me a lesson and made me look at things differently . Miss Lottie forgive me for the trouble and hurt I caused you " . Miss Lottie said with a very sympathetic and understanding face " of course i forgive you my dear ! " .
- Lizabeth still felt she needed to do more for miss Lottie . So Lizabeth offered to help Miss Lottie plant some new marigolds . Lizabeth asked " Miss Lottie could I perhaps help you plant new marigolds ? " Miss Lotties eyes grew bigger along with a smile " That sounds wonderful but as you know I am not as young as I used to be so I can't be much of help " Lizabeth cut her off before saying another word " No I will do it this it's the least I could do, lets get to work !" Together they both spent the day planting marigolds . Miss Lottie explained to Lizabeth how to properly plant these flowers . She showed her how to care for them to . Each one enjoying the others company . They worked on this for a few hours . In the end the flowers looked amazing and each one left with smile across their faces .
