- EXPOSITION
- It's night. I, Ponyboy step out of the theater with two things on my mind: Paul Newman and a ride home. I was a Greaser. Some thought of us as hoods. We fought Socs, West side rich kids who jumped Greasers for kicks.

- CONFLICT
- As I was going, I saw a blue Mustang following me, and I knew trouble was coming. I tried to walk quickly, but it was no use. Some Socs got out of the Mustang and attacked me. they were trying to kill me. Luckily, my other Greaser buddies rescued me in the nick of time.
- Slide: 3
- RISING ACTION
- As I was out with Johnny, one of my buddies one night, the socs attacked. They were drowning me in a fountain, and Johnny stabbed one of the Socs, killing him. We panicked, and ran away. We hopped a train, and rode to a place called Windrixville, where we hid in a church. After a while, another one of our buddies came and got us out, and we got burgers. We came back to the church to get our things, and we saw it was engulfed in flames. There were kids still inside. One of our ciggerates must have started it. We ran in and saved the kids, but Johnny was hit with some burning wood that broke his back. Our friend that had rescued us and I were okay, but Johnny wasn't doing well in the hospital. I came home and found out about a rumble that was being planned between the socs and the greasers.

- CLIMAX
- It's the night of the rumble. Our gang goes out and meets the socs at a vacant lot. No weapons. Once the rumble starts, Another one of my buddies shows up and creams a soc. A little bit later, the socs ran away! We won!

- FALLING ACTION
- After the rumble, my friend and I went to visit Johnny at the hospital. He dies while we're there. He tells me to stay gold. My friend can't take it he goes and robs a grocery store, and bluffs a gun and the police shoot him in front of my whole gang. He wanted to die. Johnny was the only thing he loved.

- RESOLUTION
- In the end, 2 friends of mine died that..... I WASN"T FINISHED
