- I will get this biopsy sample and send it to a pathologist for further investigation.
- 1 week later:
- Here are your test results: the pathologist said you have this rare cancer called anaplastic thyroid cancer. I will have to consult with a domain expert to determine the best course of action.
- I've sent my patient's biopsy and CT scan results to you. Do you have any recommendations, since I know you have successfully treated other patients with this rare condition?
- I'll look at it. I'll let you know after a few minutes of review.
- 3 months later:
- Thank you! I will inform the surgeons to be very thorough with removing the lymph nodes. Thank you so much for your help!
- Based off my extensive experience, I suggest you should remove all lymph nodes. Make sure to be very thorough to prevent mestastasis.
