- POV is first person, allowing you to connect to the story. Heart is personified by the use of "you".

- Okay Heart, we are going to figure out how to forget this man!
- Sorrowful and nostalgic---sort of longing for the love, while trying to forget. Annoyance---mind annoyed that the heart won't let go.
- Theme
- It's not as easy for me to forget as it is for you.
- First stanza is like the "game plan" of how to forget him. Second stanza, is where it's clear that it isn't going well. The annoyance comes out.
- HEART! YOU STILL HAVEN'T FORGOTTEN HIM!
- The title is what the poem is about---the mind is addressing the heart so that it can forget the man.
- It can be hard to let go of love you had for someone. You can erase the memories out of your mind, but you can't make your heart stop.
