JB starts to like Miss Sweet Tea, and Filthy gets jealous. Then Filthy has a lonely time when JB isn't around, and he gets mad at JB, frustrated that he has all the things JB wants, but filthy can't have anything

In their next basketball game, Filthy got churlish and chucked the ball so hard at JB that his nose got bloody nose then Filthy got suspended from basketball until his mom said so. Then JB wouldn't talk or even look at JB for 15 days.
Filthy writes JB a note saying he's sorry, and the next day when Filthy makes a joke about his teammate, JB laughs. For the first time in 15 days, he has made contact with Filthy.
After their dad dies because of a heart attack, JB gives Filthy the championship ring that their dad won in the Italian league. Saying, he (their dad) said to give it to you. I guess you, da man. Then JB walks away, but filthy stops him saying, WE da man. Becoming closer than ever before
