- My favorite character is the Professor because he opens a cool shop with old statues.He knows the kids are playing in his yard and doesn't yell at them or get them in trouble. He helps Marshall find Security and saves April from the murderer.

- The story takes place in an abandoned shed the back yard of the Professor's antique shop in a small town in California. April lives in an apartment with her grandma. Melanie and Marshall live there also with their parents.

- April and Melanie become friends and they both like to read and play imaginary games. They find the shed in the Professor's yard and decide to turn it into Egypt because they just read a book about Egypt. They find a statute of Nefertiti and build an altar to it. They play there everyday with Marshall and his octopus Security. The Professor watches them through his window but doesn't make them leave.

- A new girl named Elizabeth moves into the apartment building and the girls let her join the game. Then a girl from the neighborhood goes missing and no one can play outside for a long time. On Halloween they go back to the shed and 2 boys Toby and Ken join them. They make up rituals and ask an oracle questions. They find out that Toby was answering the questions pretending it was the oracle. But then Marshall loses Security and the next dat the oracle tells them where it is.

- April was babysitting Marshall and needed to go to the shed to get her math book. When they were going under the gate, the murderer grabbed her and only let go because someone yelled "help". The police thought the Professor was the murderer but Marshall told everyone that it was the professor that saved April by yelling "Help". They also find out the Professor was the one who pretended to be the oracle so they could find Security. The Professor gives the kids keys to the yard so they can play whenever they want.
