- In February of 2014, Mommy Iesha and Daddy Dennis had 2 little boys named Xavier and Isaiah. Xavier was 3, and Isaiah was 1. Mommy Iesha also had a baby girl growing in her tummy, and …
- … on the 21st of that month, Jazmine was born! Her mommy, daddy, and brothers loved her very much and were so happy that she joined their family.
- Yes, Mommy Iesha and Daddy Dennis loved their children, but they did not always keep them safe from danger. So, one sad day, a social worker came to take Xavier, Isaiah, and Jazmine to live with other families who could keep them safe. These families would take care of the children while Mommy Iesha and Daddy Dennis worked to make their lives safer, healthier, and happier. Xavier went to live with one family, and Isaiah and Jazmine went to live with another.
- On October 14, 2015, Isaiah and Jazmine arrived at Alli’s home. They were scared and sad, but Alli tried very hard to help them feel comfortable, safe, and loved.
- Over the next few months, the three of them did many things together, like starting a new school, meeting new friends, visiting with Alli’s family, going to the beach, attending church, swimming, playing, and reading.
- Isaiah was having a very hard time without his Daddy Dennis, so a social worker decided it might be best for him to live with a family who had a daddy. Maybe this would help Isaiah feel better. So, on another sad (but hopeful) day, another family welcomed Isaiah into their home. Jazmine was sad, but she knew she would see her brother soon.
- Shortly after, on July, 19, 2016, baby Harmony was born to Mommy Iesha! Mommy Iesha was so happy to meet Harmony and she loved her very much.
- However, because Mommy Iesha was still working on making a safe and healthy life for her family, Harmony went to live with Alli and Jazmine. Alli and Jazmine were so happy to welcome her to their home!
- For the next couple of years, Jazmine and Harmony lived happily with Alli. They did so many fun things together. They moved into a brand new house, traveled to different places like the beach and the mountains, had fun times with friends at the water park, and spent time with family at the lake.
- One day, Alli received the sad news that Jazmine and Harmony would not be able to go back to live with Mommy Iesha and Daddy Dennis. They would not be able to make a safe and healthy life for their family. It would be best for all of the children to find safe and healthy homes with other families.
- A social worker asked Alli a very important question, “Would you like to adopt Jazmine and Harmony?”
- Alli said, “Yes!” with no hesitation because she loved Jazmine and Harmony so much!
- Alli felt very sad that their family would not be reunited, but she was also so thankful and full of joy that Jazmine and Harmony would get to stay with her forever! Then one happy day, Jazmine and Harmony gave Alli a new name, Mommy!
- Then, when adoption day was close, Mommy gave Jazmine and Harmony new names, too: Jazmine Pamela Woods and Harmony Mikaela Woods. They were named after their grandparents, Mike and Pam.
- Finally, on February 7, 2019, Mommy, Jazmine, and Harmony officially became a family! They remembered Mommy Iesha and Daddy Dennis for giving their children life and beauty, and they promised to always love and honor them.
- But adoption day was a day to celebrate! It was a day full of joy and gratitude! It was the day God made a new family!
