I cant take it anymore, i cant go anywhere, everyone judges me because of my illness!
Don''t worry Michael, I wont ever judge you for what you cant control. People can be cruel but don't forget i'm always here for you
Approaching a friend or family member when they are in distress is always a comforting way of helping them relax and refocus. A simple "Hows it going'?" or "Whats wrong?" can make people feel supported when you go out of your way to ask them. Let them know they are not alone.
Thanks Emma for being so kind to me
Don't stress about it, lets go clear your mind on walk
That'd be great!
Listening is extremely important when you want to help someone going through a hard time. Understanding by listening to someones problem can make them open up about the issues and express the concerns they are having. It can make them let out more emotion and feel at ease with you there comforting them.
Support them, by showing that you care and are truly invested in helping them with their problem is the best way of giving them hope of getting through their problem. Some kind words can really boost someones mood and take their mind off any problems they have. Especially with PBA, as it occurs when the person has too much on their mind, so releasing them from the stress is extremely helpful.
Always here for you, Michael
It is important to offer solutions to help their problem, even if its temporary. Things that help PBA patients is exercise, so activities like walking, biking, yoga and meditation help clear the mind and stop episodes from occurring.
Always make sure that they WANT to do the activity, don't force them into doing something they aren't interested in or aren't keen on as it can create stress, the last thing a PBA patient needs. So always make sure they genuinely seem excited or keen on the activity. Help them feel supported.
Talk to them, keep making them feel comfort when you're around them so that they can truly relax their mind and take off any pressure they have. Keep supporting them, listening to them and understanding their situation to better help them fight their disorder
