Page 7
ROAR!!!
In the morning, he still did not know where to go. But then, suddenly, a strange man appeared! He told the soldier that he knew exactly how to help him.
Page 8
Good job! Here's a coat like mine that is full of gold!
The stranger said that he would give the brave soldier all the gold and riches he could ever want if he could prove himself to be fearless.

The bear stands up and roars at you. You take aim and fire your rifle.
The stranger gives you a green coat just like his. He said it was a magic coat and that there would always be gold in the pockets.
Then the stranger tells you that to keep the gold forever you have to wear his cloak for 7 years. You can never wash or change your clothes.

The stranger tells you that if you die during those 7 years or if you don't follow his rules, you will be his. He tells you to call yourself Bearskin,

No one likes me anymore. Did I make the right choice?
Page 16
I guess you can stay, but you can't come around the other people.
Can I please have a place to sleep? I will pay you very well!
Page 17
If you can't pay, you can't stay
Quite pleased, you set off into the world to help others and to spend the never ending gold.
Page 18
Everywhere you went you helped people. You paid well for a place to sleep, you offered the gold to the people who needed it most and you were loved by many.
Page 19
I have plenty of money. I will help you with your troubles.
But as time went on, the people began to dislike Bearskin. Not washing made you smelly and dirty and they did not understand why you would do this.
Page 20
A man as kind as you deserves to marry one of my daughters.
As the years go by, you wander the country side alone. No one wanted to come close to you as you were so dirty and smelly.
Page 21
You stink! No way!
One day, you come to a small farming village. The farmer lets you sleep in an abandoned hut after you offer him a lot of gold.
Page 22
We will each keep half of this ring so you will know me when i return.
While you're sitting there feeling lonely, you overhear the farmer telling an old man that him and his family have to leave if they can't pay their rent.
Page 23
I bet his claws will tear holes in your wedding dress!
Haha, your husband will eat you instead of the cake!!
Even though people have been mean to you, do you still try and help the old man and his family?Yes - Go to Page 19No - Go to Page 33
Hmmm... Do I still want to help people?
You decide to help the old man and his family.
The old man rewards your kindness by offering one of his daughter's in marriage.
The two oldest daughters refuse saying that you smell and look terrible and they will not marry anyone like that. However, the youngest daughter agrees.
I will honour my father's promise and marry you Bearskin.
You look like a bear, I would never marry you!
You tell her that must wander for three more years and then you will return to marry her. You break a ring in half telling her that you will each keep half.
The oldest two sisters make fun of her for agreeing to marry Bearskin. The youngest daughter feels sad, but she knows that she made the right choice.
Page 24
Thank goodness the seven years are almost over.
Page 25
I did it! Now please take this jacket back and clean me up so I can go get married.
Page 26
Wow! I look great!
Here you go, you earned it.
Page 27
To my future wife's house!
Where to sir?
Page 28
Who is this guy?
It's me, Bearskin!
Page 29
We're home!
For the next three years you wander from place to place, helping people if they will let you.
Finally, after seven to the day, the stranger reappears before you. You ask him to keep his part of the deal and clean you up.
Having no choice but to keep his word, the stranger cleans you up and even gives you new clothes!
You immediately go to the nearest village and buy a horse and carriage. You get your new driver to bring you to the old man's house.
When you come to the village, no one recognizes you. But when you put both pieces of the ring together, the daughter realizes that you are Bearskin!
After getting married, you bring your new wife to your castle. You both live happily ever after. The End
