My friend and I were sitting at a table for her dad's surprise dinner celebrating his promotion. We were just catching each other up on whats going on in our lives.
The waitress came to the table to get our order. I decided to order a salad. I made the comment that I needed to do better with my diet.
She said, "Yea, I can tell., while laughing She saw that I put on some weight from the last time we've seen each other. However, she didn't know that I've been working out and making better eating decisions for my happiness. she thought that I was just now starting my diet because of being overweight.
I explained to her that I started my new health journey two weeks ago. She did not believe me since all she saw was how overweight I was.
Then, I showed her the meals that my dad and I have made over the past few weeks.
Finally, we moved on from this topic. I was still angry that she made the shady comment especially since it was in front of her friend and her friend's sister that I just met. Also, one of them was the same size as me except she was shorter.
