- I am looking for silk and spices and offer glass and olive oil.
- A conversation between a Roman and a Chinese trader.
- I am looking for ivory and olive oil and offer silk, and gunpowder.
- We can trade my olive oil for your silk.
- It won't cost as much this time, since our journey through water made it easier to get here
- Since our silk is very valuable, it will cost more and because of the long travel here.
- How come?
- On our way here, there are a lot of inconveniences such as mountains, cliffs, and some passageways that were dangerous to pass through.
- We will be charging more for the inconveniences along the road.
- That is fine.
- Not only that, but because of weather conditions. Thanks to our camels, we were able to cross our goods through the desert. They are able to carry many things and handle the extreme heat.
- The only reason our olive oil is a bit pricey is because of the seasonal growth.
- We only have the spring for olives to grow and then we have to make sure to seal them correctly to not let them go rancid.
- Oh well that makes sense.
