- -Once they were an official religious order they changed the name to Jesuits. -The Jesuits had three vows: chastity, poverty and obedience. -The new religious order was different from others: it had no definitive clothing and they had mobility to go wherever. -The formula of the institution consisted of: saving souls, sacraments, service and education of the youth. -The constitution was written 6 months after the Jesuits where founded. -Jesuits where sent around the world to save souls. -Jesuits are known for the founding of school and colleges -IHS is a monogram meaning Jesus in Greek and it is found in their seal.
- Francis Xavier was ordained priest on June 24, 1537. He was sent to a mission in India and never saw Iggy again. One of the greatest missionaries of modern times Canonized in 1622.
- Ignatius was ordained in June 24, 1537. In December 1538 he gave his first mass and was declared a saint in 1622.
- Peter Faber was the first to be ordained out of the 7 initial members of the order. He became the master of the Spiritual Exercises. He was canonized in 2013.
- They founded schools and colleges around the world, such as Loyola University New Orleans.
- Ignatius legacy is still alive today. The Jesuits are still present and keep influencing, shaping and saving souls now day.
