  • Mumma see! What a beautiful garden! Let's go inside. Ouch! I got hurt.
  • Look there. Maybe you were hurt by the stone. Let's go inside and sit on the bench.
  • Mumma! I have a question that why does the stone not change its shape on touching it?
  • Hmmm! Good question. It's because, it is in the solid state of matter. The solids have a fixed shape and size. They cannot be compressed. Hey Bholu! if you feel better, let's go to the lake - view.
  • Wow Mumma! What a beautiful lake! But I have another question that why does the water not have a fixed shape like the stone?
  • Interesting one! Listen Bholu, water is in the liquid state of matter. They have a fixed volume but not a fixed shape. They take the shape of the container. They cannot be compressed.
  • Mumma! Look at the sky. So many colorful balloons are flying. What is inside these balloons?
