- God created the sun to signify environmental responsibility. The sun is beneficial, where plants and animals thrive. In addition, the sun allows us to transform its rays into energy, which benefits the environment because it is a renewable source of energy.
- "Then God said let us make Humankind"
- God exemplified environmental stewardship when he skilfully created the earth in such a way that it can be sustained. He created plants, trees, and other creations to complete the cycle of life when he created the planet. We need trees to survive because they provide us with oxygen.
- Steward of the earth
- God created these living creatures to start the cycle of life and vegetation. Animals are really important in our lives. Bugs are eaten by birds. Without the birds, the bug population grows. Farmers would lose their crops because bugs devour the leaves of crop plants.
- God tells Adam and Eve in the creation story that they have dominion over the oceans, birds, and all living things. This is what environmental stewardship looks like. Since the word dominion implies taking responsibilities. God entrusted Adam and Eve with the task of maintaining what he created.
- Being a steward of the earth is a crucial aspect to preserve the earth for the future. We see ongoing environmental issues such as climate change. There are various organizations that have set an example on how to be a responsible steward.
