  • The White family gets a visitor on a cold, rainy and dark night. They live far out with only a couple of houses. His name is Sergeant Major Morris.
  • Mr. White, Ms. White, Herbert
  • Morris was telling the family stories of his time in India. Mr. White asked him about the Monkeys Paw. They talked about the 3 men that got 3 wishes. Morris was the second man to get 3 wishes. He wanted to throw the paw into the fire though.
  • This is the monkeys paw.
  • "Did you give him anything for it, father?"
  • (Mr. White kept the Monkeys Paw even though Morris said hes not responsible for the consequences.)
  • "I wish for 200 pounds"
  • "Hey father maybe you should wish for 200 pounds just to pay for the house."
  • "200 pounds"
  • "I'm sorry theres been an accident at the mill. Herbert is dead. But we'd like to give you mnoey for your troubles."
  • "How much?"
  • "The monkey's paw! Go and get it and wish. Bring him back!"
  • "He would be too terrible to see...I wish my son alive again!"
  • My third wish is....
  • "I'm coming Herbert. I'm coming"
