- hello! welcome to our monarchy. there are different types of monarchy.
- there is a constitutional monarchy and an absolute monarchy.
- It can be a more efficient form of government.Because decisions run through the ruling class, and often through a specific individual, a monarchy is more efficient than most other forms of government.
- so, basically a monarchy is a form of government with a monarch at the head.
- An example of a monarchy is that which presently rules over Britain and is headed up by the Queen Elizabeth II.

- Queen Elizabeth II is the reigning constitutional monarch over 16 commonwealth realms: in addition to the U.K., the other 15 independent countries include Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, the Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Canada, Grenada, Jamaica, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia
- Countries where monarchs still maintain absolute power are: Brunei, Eswatini, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and the individual emirates composing the United Arab Emirates, which itself is a federation of such monarchies
