  • Hello, My name is Thomas Edison. I was one of America's leading innovators, businessman, and American Inventor credited with the inventions of the phonograph, the first incandescent light bulb, and the motion picture camera.
  • I was born on February 11, 1847, in Milan, Ohio and was the youngest of seven children of Nancy and Samuel Edison
  • At an early age, I came down with the Scarlet Fever and several ear infections which lead to hearing loss and Deafness as an adult.
  • When I was 12 years old, after my family and I moved to Port Huron, Michigan, I convinced my parents to let me publish my own small newspaper called The grand Trunk.
  • Shortly after my first invention, I, in the 1870's, then developed two more life-altering inventions: the phonograph and the first incandescent light bulb.
  • Later, in 1869, at the age of 22, I moved to New York, and there, developed my first invention: the Universal Stock Printer.
  • Thomas Edison passed away on October 18, in the year of 1931, in West Orange, New Jersey. However, because of his life-changing inventions, Thomas Edison is remembered and known as one of history's greatest inventors, innovators, and businessman.
