- Rainford and his friends were on a boat going back to where ever they came from. They happened to find a new island they have never seen before. One of them said they should go over there and check it out. Rainford had a bad feeling about that Island and insisted that they go around the Island and stay on track of where they were heading.
- Climax
- Rainford lost his balance after trying to get his pipe that he dropped and has fallen into the water and no one noticed he fell so was knocked out and was in a sleep and slowly wased up to the island
- Falling Action
- After Rainford wakes up the Island, no where to go. While Rainford was exploring the Island he runs into the Zaroffs front door. He knocks on the door and someone known as Ivan a servant to General Zarnoff opens the door and welcomes Rainford to his home.
- Resolution
- When Rainford has entered Ivan's home they have talked about how Rainford eneded up on the Island. Rainford explained and also explained how he was a very experrienced. Ivan also said how he was a hunter as well and he told Rainford that he was going to hunt him and if he survived for 3 nights he would live and Ivan would accept defeat from him.
- Rainford had a headstart and quickly hid after a few hours Rainford was hiding ontop of a tree and saw Ivan coming and was beneath the tree he was on. Ivan yelled and turned around an walked away. After 3 nights Rainford survived 3 nights without getting killed from Ivan.
- When Rainford survived for 3 nights Ivan accepted defeat and let Rainford live in his house with his own room and in the ending Rainford slept on a amazing bed and said he never slept better on a bed.
