- Two house holds, both alike in dignity. In fair Verona. The prologue of Romeo and Juliet.
- The Capulets and the Montagues fight in the streets of Verona opposing the kings orders.
- Paris wants to get married to Juliet. Her dad says she is to young and Juliet does not like Paris. Juliet is too young and Paris is much older.
- The nurse talks about Juliet as a young child and Juliet's mother says she needs to get married to Paris, even though Juliet does not want to.
- Romeo and his friends, including Mercutio, head to the ball in mask to cover their faces so no one knows they are Montagues. As they walk Mercutio makes fun of Romeo's dream.
- Juliet's dad tells the crowd of the people at the party to dance because one day their dancing days will be over like his are now. In this crowd are Romeo and all of his Montague friends.
- Romeo sees Juliet and instantly falls in love, not thinking that she could be a Capulet.(His family's moral enemy)
- Romeo tells Juliet she is beautiful by saying he is a pilgrim looking for the holy grail and he has found it in her arms.
- Romeo asks Juliet's nurse who Juliet is and the Nurse tells him she is the daughter of Capulet, his family's enemy.
- Romeo starts to walk back to the Montague house with his friends.
- Romeo goes from walking back to the Montague house to jumping over the fence to get into the Capulet manor, he regrets leaving Juliet alone.
- Juliet lays on her balcony thinking about who Romeo is and how she has never seen him before. She fell in love with him at the ball.
