  • Scrooge is a greedy and grumpy banker. He doesn’t care about anyone but money. He doesn’t love Christmas.
  • Bah! Humbug!
  • A merry Christmas, uncle! God save you!
  • Scrooge confronting his cold and selfish ways in order to avoid eternal damnation after his late partner Marley’s ghosts visits and warns him.
  • I wear the chain I forged in life. I made it link by link, and yard by yard; I girded it on of my own free will, and of my own free will I wore it.
  • You are fettered. Tell me why?
  • Scrooge is paid visits by the Ghost of Christmas Past, Present, and of Yet to Come. Each of them give him an insight of his life during Christmas in his early years, his recent years, and in the future.
  • As Scrooge is visited by The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come and is shown his grave, he realizes he should be happy for the remaining time he has left and to believe in the spirit of Christmas.
  • Spirit! I see, I see. The case of this unhappy man might be my own. My life tends that way, now. Merciful Heaven, what is this!
  • Scrooge is getting back to the real world instead of the spiritual world and is gets excited for Christmas.
  • A merrier Christmas, Bob, my good fellow, than I have given you for many a year! I’ll raise your salary, and endeavour to assist your struggling family.
  • Scrooge is happy with his friends and family having dinner on Christmas.
