- Namaste grandfather. I have been given a project on irrigation. Although I have read it through my textbook but still I am not clear with the concepts. So could u please take me to your farm and tell me more interesting facts about it ?
- Good morning students!Tomorrow we will have a project on the topic of irrigation.You have to come prepared and write an essay about it.
- Before gaining the knowledge about irrigation . lets find about the essence of water in agriculture.Water is important for the growth and development of plants. Along with water,minerals and fertilizers are also absorbed by plants. They help in the germination of seeds but not under dry conditions .It also protects the plant from both hot and frost weather conditions.
- Hmm grandfather is it when we water the plants ? Oh now I understood .
- So as we have learned about the importance of water in agriculture ,let us now find more about irrigation .So what do u think it is ?No , you are somewhere right but it is not a proper justification of irrigation .It is To maintain themoisture of the soil for healthy cropgrowth, fields have to be wateredregularly.The supply of water to crops atregular intervals is called irrigation. Great, let us move on.
