My favourite Chaperone is a short story about a teenage girl who, after moving to the U.S from kazakstan, endures problems different from ones that she has faced before.
Climax
Nurzhan, don't bother- you'll never convince them!
The author introduces us to the main characters: Maya, her brother (Nurzhan) and her mother and father. The story starts at Maya's school, where she is given the chance to attend the Spring Fling dance. Although she is sure that her parent wouldn't let her attend the dance, she takes a permission slip anyway.
Falling Action
Let Maya go to the dance!
The same school day, Nurzhan (Maya's brother) gets involved in a fight and later Maya is also in hot water, for being around some American boys.
Resolution
No Problem, sister!
Thanks!
While doing helping Nurzhan with his homework, Maya looked at her permission slip with hopelessness. Nurzhan who notices this gesture, tells her that he will ask their parents if she can go to the dance.
Don't Worry ! I'll talk to them!
