The song "This Is Me" shows the circus performers sing about how people discriminate against them and how they won't be accepted for who they are. This builds to the conflict where the circus burns down, due to a bunch of thugs who hate the circus crew.
Resolution: The Greatest Show
When Burnam hears Jenny Lind sing, he takes her on a tour across America to gain money and fame. Due to him focusing on the tour his relationships with the circus and his family worsen, until his wife leaves him and due to him ignoring the circus burns down.
Barnum, sad at his marriage life and the circus burning down, Goes to a bar to drink. Suddenly the circus crew walk in the bar to convince Barnum to not give up on the circus. Filled with determination to make things up with his wife, Barnum jumps on a train to his wives parents house to make amends
After fixing his relationship with his wife, Barnum returns to rebuild the circus but does not have enough money to do so. But his partner Phillip saved enough for them to buy a tent to perform again. Barnum then leaves the circus the symbol of his hopes and dreams, to spend more time with his family.
