- Hello from London!My name is Kevin. I'm originally from North Carolina but have lived abroad for the last eight years. From 2016 to 2018, I lived and worked in Beijing, China. I've been in London, England for the last six years.

- The American School in London
- I've served as an elementary school counselor for the last 18 years. However, for the last few years, I began to feel a bit burnt out. I started looking for a newexperience in education. I had always been interested in the school library.

- I began searching for graduate programs to to explore a potential change in careers. In Spring 2023, I started working on the School Librarianship Certificate through IU - Indianapolis. This is my fourth course in the program. Although different to school counseling in a lot of ways, I have found the courses to be fascinating.

- I'll finish the courses for the certificate in Spring 2025. My hope is to find a position in an international school library, although I'd be happy to move back to the US. Ideally, I would continue to work with my favorite group of students - 5 to 10 year olds.

- I have a bit of experience helping out in the school library as my office as a counselor was actually in the library.I started my internship about a week ago and have already been learning a lot about leveling and genrefying classroom libraries. I've been designing back-to-school displays as well.

- In my free time, I enjoy going to the theatre and cinema. I also love to travel and was lucky enough to go to the Paris Olympics a few weeks ago.

- At the end of the last school year, I decided to leave my counseling position at The American School in London so I could focus on transitioning to a school librarian position. I now substitute at the school and am completing an internship in the school library.
