- Latin America is ungovernable - Simon Bolivar
- All the colonies are far and have geographic troubles to traverse.
- Unlike the Haitians we are too diverse and different like regional identity.
- In Haiti the enslaved shared culture from where they were from and even formed a kind of syncretism. Haiti was also a lot smaller unlike Latin America. In Latin America Bolivar said that the land was ungovernable because there was simply too much land. This made it hard to revolt for Latin America and easier for Haiti because there was less land and more connection
- The enslaved in Haiti were much more united because many of them shared culture and even had syncretism. Latin America is way too diverse.

- We should have free trade
- We all have rights like life, liberty and property
- Mercantilism only allows us to trade with Spain we want to trade to whoever we want for the best prices
- Spain enforced mercantilism onto the people in Latin America. The Creoles disliked that because they wouldn't be able to get the most amount of money. So they took after the idea of natural rights and that also influenced their thoughts on a free market because they should have the liberty to trade to whoever they want.

- I just read the Declaration of the Rights of Man, if it says that all men are born free why are we subjected to a King that we've never even seen and is far away?
