Technology back in the day was completly different than we know it today, Throughout the years it has evolved to what we know it today.
Let me tell you the story of how technology unleashed into current capatlistic ways.
"Precapiltalist technology had a very restricted base." Technology did exsit before capitalism reaching great heights like the stonehenge, egyptian pyramids, the chinese great wall and incan stone walls as examples. But improvements came bery slowly.
Advanced, but is it increasing productivity?
One of the reasons technology didn't advance was because technology was created based on the needs of rulers, priests, warriors. " Its application to common, everyday work was virtually ignored." Technology of daily life was ignored to increase output and enchance the productivity of the working person. But in a society still regulated by tradion there was little incentive to look for increases in output
wouldn't it be more efficient if we did this a different way?
What is the point? If we increase efficiency and make more, it will all go to the lord.
