- My name is Matryona, I am an ordinary girl of Dutch nationality. I live on the north coast of Java. I also have a boyfriend named Alexis, he is a friendly and caring man to me. One day my boyfriend and I had a plan for sightseeing/vacation, I chose to go to Bataviada. Friends said that Batavia is a beautiful place with a beautiful harbor. Alexis agreed to my plan, she and I immediately got ready and we finally set off. But that was where all the disasters started.
- When we got there Alexis and I lived in a friend's house in Batavia which was not far from the city center.
- It was a beautiful day in October 1945, I toured the park around where I live with Alexis.
