  • Nick Carraway goes over to Tom and Daisy's Buchanan's house for lunch. Nick meets Jordan Baker and finds out by Ms.Baker that Tom's got some woman in New York (Fitzgerald 18). Throughout lunch Nick sees how Daisy tries to portray her and Tom's relationship as perfect but fails everytime because of Tom's attitude. 
  • The Great Gatsby: Chapter 5
  • Tom invites Nick to the city and during this time he meets Tom's mistress, Myrtle. When Nick arrives back home a chauffeur in a uniform crossed his lawn and gave him a formal note that said the honor would be entirely Gatsby's if I attend his 'little party' (Fitzgerald 45) . He arrives to the party and finally meets his very known neighbor, Jay Gatsby.
  • The Great Gatsby: Chapters 67
  • Jay Gatsby invites Nick to lunch in the city where Nick meets Gatsby's good friend, Mr.Wolfsheim. After lunch, Nick and Gatsby encounter Tom, and Nick tries to introduces him to Gatsby but Gatsby was no longer there (Fitgerald 80). Later on, Nick understands Gatsby's disappearance when Jordan explains to Nick that Gatsby was once in love with Daisy and would like to reunite with her.
  • The Great Gatsby: Chapters 89
  • Nick agrees to invite Daisy over for tea so that Gatsby can finally talk to her again. Although Gatsby was happy he was finally going to reunite with Daisy, he was pale as death (Fitzgerald 92) not knowing how Daisy would react. Gatsby and Daisy's chemistry was apparent and they had no difficulty clicking again.
  • Daisy and Tom go over to Gatsby's house for a party and Tom notices Gatsby and his wife are. After the small get together they had, Daisy suggested that they should go to town (Fitzgerald 126). During their small trip to town, Tom and Gatsby git into a huge argument over Diays and who she truly loved and she admitted to Tom that she was in love with Gatsby.
  • When coming back to town Daisy accidentally runs over Tom's mistress, Myrtle but quickly Gatsby is takes the blame. Mr.Wilson goes to Mr.Gatsby's house and kills Gatsby in the pool where later on Nick will find him and a thin red circle in the water (Fitzgerald 173). After Gatsby's death Nick tries to contact all of his friends but is found to be alone at Gatsby's funeral.
