- Penelope shoved her mom away. Tears started to stream down her face. The weight of everything just started overwhelming her. She and her mom used to be the best of friends and she used to stress how she only wanted the best for her. Ever since Penelope decided to take that year and made their relationship rocky. Her mom had never laid hands on her before. Penelope dropped the sponge and the plate in her hand in the sink and wiped the tears streaming down her face. She looked at her mom and saw the tears coming down her mom’s face. Penelope ran upstairs to her room.
