The French and Indian War was a 9 year conflict that was apart of a larger war, The 7 Years War , The war was the Brittish with Iroquois allies, against the French with the Algonquian tribes as their allies.This war ended with a Brittish victory, but it put Britian in a lot of debt

After the Tea taxes were passed, an event called the Boston Massacre made the British pass the Intolerable Acts, which punished the American colonies greatly. This made all of the colonies meet in what would be known as the First Continental Congress, which established a militia and created a letter that would be sent to the king. Eventually tensions would develop, and the first battles of Lexington and Concord would happen, which marked the beginning of the Revolutionary War.

Tensions arose, and British soldiers started to quarter in people's houses to enforce the tax laws. This made some of the colonists angry. An altercation between a British soldier and a young man creates a mob. The mob began to throw stuff, and British backup began to come and line up. A shot was accidentally fired, and 5 more soldiers took that as a command and fired into the crowd. This misunderstanding started the discontent for the British. This massacre made British officials repeal all taxes and establish a tea tax act.
