- After spending a few days at the office...
- Owwwww...My chest hurts and my pants feel super tight. I think my legs might be swollen. I'll search up what my conditions might mean.
- Edema : The swelling of parts of the body due to fluids trapped in the tissue. It is a symptom of a variety of problems.
- According to my search I might have Edema, or in other words, Swelling. I'm going to go see my doctor to get this checked out.
- One V/Q Scan Later...
- So what's wrong doc?
- A V/Q Scan is a type of scan where we take pictures of your lungs before, and after we have you intake a special gas and liquid. The gas allows us to see your Ventilation, or, the airflow of your lungs. The liquid allows us to see your Perfusion, or, blood flow.
- It appears that you do in fact have Edema as you told us. So we ran a V/Q Scan on you.
