  • What are they talking about..?
  • hey stop snooping around!
  • This was the Selma-to-Montgomery march [March 7, 1965). There were many people, and they were all gathered together in lines.
  • Get them!
  • The day before, there was a mass meeting about the strategies they would use for during the March. She listened in and heard they wouldn't fight back if something were to happen.
  • We were worried about you!
  • As the Marchers got closer to the bridge they saw more police officers, and their dogs. They looked intimidating and scared many of the marchers.
  • You're okay now
  • At the bridge, as they were bending down to pray, they got attacked. There was lot's of violence as the police hit people with their weapons and attacked people with the animals. The marchers were afraid and were retreating and running back.
  • After getting home from the march, her parents were worried and were scared about where she was. Although her parents told her not to go, she didn't listen and left to go march with everyone.
  • You're okay!!
  • Her mom went to her room and comforted her because she was afraid and scared. She was still terrified from what she saw at the bridge. However, although all this happened, she still wanted to go back out to the church. She also wanted to attend the next meeting.
