- Odysseus's men find Circe's hall.
- Odysseus's men get turned into pigs.
- Odysseus tries to save his crew.
- Change them back to men or I will run you through with my sword!
- Stay here and we can all feast!
- "In the wild wood they found an open glade, around a smooth stone house-the fall of Circe- and wolves and mountain lions lay there, mild in her soft spell, fed on her drug of evil." (10 . 1 - 4)
- In Circe's house for 1 year.
- "Scarce had they drunk when she flew after them with her long stick and shut them in a pigsty-bodies, voices, heads, and bristles" (10 . 32 - 34)
- Odysseus gives offerings to Tiresias.
- Hmm...
- "Eurylochus tells Odysseus what has happened and begs him to sail away from Circe's island. Against this advice, however, Odysseus rushes to save his men from the enchantress." (Fitzgerald, 387)
- Tiresias helps Odysseus get home.
- Thank you so much!
- "They stay for one year, until Odysseus finally begs her to let them go home. She replies that they must first visit the land of the dead and hear a prophecy from the ghost Tiresias." (Fitzgerald, 387)
- Oh, you have stayed here a whole year, now you will have to meet tiresias in order to go back home.
- We have stayed and eaten, may we leave now?
- " 'Then I addressed the blurred and breathless dead, vowing to slaughter my best heifer for them before she calved, at home in Ithaca, and burned the choice bits on the altar fire; as for Tiresias, I swore to sacrifice a black lamb, handsomest of all our flock.' " (11 . 1 - 5)

- "At this I stepped aside, and in the scabbard let my long sword ring home to the pommel silver, as he bent down to the sombre blood. Then spoke the prince of those with gift of speech:" (11 . 68 - 73)
