The lady gets Billy a cup of tea and asks him to sign the guest book for legal purposes but Billy then realizes that he is her third ever guest. He then realizes that the two previous guest names sounded familiar and he began to wonder why. The Lady begins to cover up her story and tell Billy that they were nothing but handsome.
They sound somehow familiar. They weren't famous in any way, were they? Maybe it was in the newspaper.
They do? How intresting. I don't think they were famous. But they were incredibly handsome.
As Billy is sipping on the cup of tea, he asks about the parrot he swore was alive and the other two men who had signed up to be guests at this lady's place. The woman then tells Billy that the two other men are up stairs and that she stuffs all of her pets herself.
I suppose he left fairly recently.
That parrot, It had me completley fooled when I first saw it. I could have sworn it was alive.
Alas, no longer.
Left? He's still here. Mr. Temple is also here. They're on the fourth floor, both of them together.
The woman then tells Billy that she stuffs all of her pets when they pass away. She then offers Billy another cup of tea but he declines as he didn't care for it too much considering the way it tasted like bitter almonds.
No thank you.
I stuff all my little pets myself when they pass away. Will you have another cup of tea?
