Peter Quince and Bottom are discussing the details of a play they have planned with some other colleagues.
I transformed a really dumb athenean actor head's into a donkey one and made Titania fall in love with him!
Puck sees the humans close to the Fairy Queen and scares them away while transforming Bottom's face into a donkey one.
You mudered him! You even have the look of a muderer!
Everyone ran away because of Bottom's hideous face; but with the flower Puck used in the Fairy Queen, she ended up deeply in love with Bottom. And while he wanted to leave at first, he chose to stay after being shown her powers.
Puck tells Oberon what he did with Bottom and the Athenian actors. Oberon is joyful that things went better than he planned; then he asks Puck about his first task of making the Athenian man fall in a love with the girl, and Puck says it was successful.
Because of Puck, Demetrius fell in love with Hermia, that thinks he has murdered Lysander, and they get in a fight. Hermia leaves, and when Demetrius takes a nap Oberon uses the love flower in his eyes, but he sees Helena. Now both Lysander and Demetrius are in love with Helena and use swords to threaten each other. Hermia and Helena get in a fight, and they separate into the forest.
To fix this mess, Puck follows everyone until they all sleep, and when this happens, he tries to use the flower in Lysander to restore his love for Hermia, thus making Demetrius and Helena together as the original plan.
