- George Washington and General Nathanael Greene would lead their continental army to a strategic position in Valley Forge (PN) not far from the city of Philadelphia, which was overrun with General Howe and his British forces
- Valley Forge
- December 19th, 1777
- General Greene, I would like you to begin preparations for tonight immediately.
- Sir, yes sir!
- Great! I hope they arrive before the harsh winter...
- Sir, we have set up camp, however we are waiting for provisions and re inforcements
- The army would build campsites as they do not lack provisions for now. They prosper.
- Martha Washington ( Wife of George Washington )
- Don't worry ! You'll feel great again in no time!
- Times start getting better as winter goes by and provisions finally arrive to the camp, as well as women that tend to the sick and injured.
- We haven't eaten for days! Oh how I long for a good ol' steak!
- Disease rocks the army as winter approaches, many people die of frostbite and others flee their ranks as the army faces food scarcity on a daily basis.
- Sir, 13 more men have died. The watch keeper saw a group men leaving the camp at night towards Philadelphia
- That's treason! Execute all men deserting their position, and where are our provisions its been delayed for weeks!
- General Baron Von Steuben arrived at the camp and gave the soldiers basic training, commanding drills and completely reforming them and bringing hem to tip-top shape
- Sir, Yes Sir!
- Men, give me 10 pushups and then run across the bridge twice I don't want anyone stopping!( In a heavy German accent)
- The 12,000 men, women and children would go on to make history as their perseverance towards the patriot cause. The divisions at Valley Forge would go on to win the battle of Valley Forge and would lay the foundations of the American Army we know today.
- Under the command of Von Steuben and George Washington, the army become extremely experienced and skilled
- How do you like us Yankee doodles and dandies now?!
- Martha Washington ( Wife of General George Washington ) also arrived to the camp and tended to the sick
