- Hello! I heard you were an experienced agriculturist? I'm a new farmer here and I must say your plants look wonderful and healthy! I was wondering if you could give out some tips to me about plant propagation?
- Of course, I'd be glad to! First of all, what kind of plants does your farm bare?
- I take care of fruit-bearing plants, specifically eggplants and tomatoes.
- I believe the best plant propagation method for those types of sprouts may be asexual propagation.
- Oh wow, good to know; could you explain further?
- I'd love to! I'll tell you ways on how to do asexual propagation for your plants.
- Alright, so the first method for asexual propagation is grafting, this is where I cut my plant's stem to its rootstock. I take the other plant and cut off its roots and take its stem;
- There are many ways on how to do this, but I'll only be explaining the best techniques for me, Let's start shall we?
- -then cut off the sides to make a v shape on the bottom. This helps to directly put it in a slot I cut on my rootstock. I then wrap it up with plastic saran. The plant will grow much faster with it's new root system! How convenient, if you'd like your sprout to grow faster.
