- To start, the Mauryan empire expanded and changed a lot and overtime, it became the Gupta empire
- The Gupta empire became smaller in size but however, they have developed great achievements. There achievements caused a turning point in their time
- This was a turning point since life in society became easier as people had a written language called Sanskrit, people avoided floods due to their road system and more!
- The Gupta empire even used advanced mathematics such as logical math, trigonometry, and algebra, which is what we still use today!
- Because of the Gupta empire achievements in the Sciences, the Gupta empire was able to have hospitals for their population and create effective medicines and treatments. Because of this, society was impacted and getting access to treatment and care was fairly easy
- With achievements in sciences, the Gupta empire was also able to discover planets and make accurate claims of planets and the universe. This impacted society as people were able to gain insight on the outside universe. One famous astronomer of this empire was Aryabhata
- Trade was also flourishing within the Gupta empire. The empire was able to profit off of trade because of how traders efficiently moved from city to city via a sophisticated road system
- Religious houses called stupas were built by sculptors to honor Budda after Asoka converted to Buddhism
- Lastly, architecture impacted the society because human-like statues were created to grab the people's attention while expressing deities portray religious beliefs
