Jonah and the Big Fish

- God asked Jonah to go to Nineveh and tell the people to stop being bad. Jonah didn't want to help as he thought they should be punished.
- Slide: 2
- He ran to the sea and found a ship so paid the captain to get a cabin. He slept there. A terrible storm came and the conditions were rough. People threw belongings over board to help the chances of them not drowning.
- Slide: 3
- They found Jonah still asleep and they blamed Jonah for the storm. He agreed because he was running away from from God and his orders. The men hoped they would not have to throw Jonah overboard but they had to as the storm kept getting worse.
- Slide: 4
- As soon as he was thrown off, the storm cleared. God sent a big fish to stop Jonah drowning which swallowed him whole. While he was trapped inside for three days, he prayed to God by thanking him and asking for forgiveness.

- Finally God told the fish to spit Jonah out on to shore. God set him the same task and this time he obeyed and went to Nineveh immediately.

- Jonah told the people what happened to him and warned them to stop being bad or in 40 days the city would be destroyed. They prayed to God to tell him they were sorry. The King told the people to listen to God and they were good. God did not destroy the city.
