- Grendel's mother avenge for his son Grendel and killed the most trusted advisor of King Hrothgar
- that's for killing my son!
- I will kill that swamp hag!
- Beowulf announces that he will go after Grendel's mother, kill her and end their grief
- Beowulf and his men locate the swamp and Beowulf jumped with no hesitation bringing with him the sword given by Unferth. After a few hours, Beowulf finally gets to the lair of Grendel's mother.
- While fighting to Grendel's mother the Hrunting sword couldn't penetrate her body, it constantly fails to pierce her skin. Afterwards, he found a magical sword and was able to kill Grendel's mother with it.

- After successfully killing Grendel's mother, he found the corpse of Grendel and cut off its head and brought it to King Hrothgar as a trophy of his victory.
- He was rewarded by King Hrothgar with treasures, helmet, a sword, and horses for saving Herot from the evil monster. Beowulf decided to go home in his mainland Geatland bringing with him his treasures and honor.
