This Topic covers gentrification, but mainly in Los angeles. gentrification is affecting LA culturally by contributing to the loss of cultural identity and cultural displacement. Gentrification can be the beginning of assimilation of cultures which will contribute and with the increase of property tax, it will move existing residents out since they can no longer afford to live there. Finding ways to positively implement gentrification without doing as much damage will be an interesting topic to learn.
This topic covers Poverty as a whole. Poverty means to have a scarce or a lack of funds to be able to support yourself with the basic needs to live. Poverty often leads to homelessness and can act as an obstacle for children getting the proper education, which limits options for jobs. This topic would be interesting to learn because there are solutions that we can be doing as a community to help those who suffer on a day to day basis just to come close to living to the bare minimum.
This topic covers the lack of accesses to education. In some places, like those who aren't as developed, can't afford to prioritize education like we can. Children have to give up their education to help provide for their family, don't have transportation there or just can't afford it. This topic would be interesting to learn because it exhibits to us the things we take for granted.
