- I had bought groceries before I went home. Can you please double check if I bought some potatoes?
- Yes, you have bought potatoes, but you forgot to buy butter for the mash potato.
- No. I had used it to make some buttered shrimp yesterday.
- Oh really? Don't we have any leftover butter in the fridge?
- They will arrive at 6pm. I will have finished dishes by 5:30pm.
- You will have to buy a stick of butter from the market.
- It's only 3pm. I will have left the market by 3:30pm.
- What time will the guests arrive?
- After 10 minutes Kyle arrived at the market and bought a stick of butter and some more potatoes.

- After 10 minutes Kyle arrived home by 3:40pm with the items he bought at the market.
- Okay. I have just finished cooking earlier than expected.
- If that is the case, I shall have prepared the dinner before the guests arrive.
- I have bought extra potatoes so we can make more mash potatoes.
- When 6pm came, their guests have arrived. It was their close friends. Kyle and Joy enjoyed a pleasant dinner with their close friends.
