A cross sectional study will determine the prevalence of the disease.3.Case Control studies will give us patient history, how the virus presents and etc. 4. Surveillance, community trials and field trials will assist in monitoring the disease and coming up with preventative measures. All this studies are what is called quantitative studies. 5. Qualitative studies called case studies or phenomenological studies will also be performed.6. In some instances we might need to combine both methods to get complete stories which is called Mixed Methods.
