- Throughout the scope of history, humanity has experienced many clashing social classes. On a broad perspective, the world has two distinct social classes, the Bourgeoisie, who own production and land, and the proletariat, who work on the produce.
- Our epoch, the epoch of the bourgeoisie, possesses, however, this distinct feature: it has simplified class antagonisms.
- In the 1800s, the bourgeoisie dominate the society by exploiting the working class for personal benefit, which has made the gap between these social divisons extremely noticeable.
- I dream of a future in which the proletariat have successfully overthrown the domination of the bourgeoisie, and the power to produce will be in the hands of the entirely classless society.
- In place of the old bourgeois society, with its classes and class antagonisms, we shall have an association, in which the free development of each is the condition for the free development of all.
