- Ordinary Stage
- We're all so happy!
- Perseus and his mom Danae, live on an island called Seriphus with Dictys and his wife. They all live a simple life and Perseus is a fisherman. King Polydectes wants to marry Danae but does not want her son.

- Call to Adventure
- To get rid of Perseus, the King pretends he wants a Gorgon head more than anything as a gift. Perseus said he will get Medusa's head for him.

- Refusal
- He didn't want to go and did not tell his mother, but he boasted he would get the head for King Dictys so had to go.
- Slide: 4
- Mentors
- He met a "strange and beautiful person" (Hamilton pg. 156) who turned out to be Hermes and a woman with a bronze shield on her chest, who was Athena.

- Crossing the Threshold
- Where are the Nymphs??
- He needed supplies to defeat the gorgons, so he stole the gray women's eye and would not give it back until they told him where the Nymphs of the North were. They told him he needed to go find the country of the Hyperboreans.

- He goes to the Hyperboreans and receives winged sandals, a magic silver wallet that grows to fit whatever he needs, and a cap that makes him invisible. Before he approaches the gorgons lair, He gets a sword from Hermes and Athena's shield. Athena and Hermes tell him how to defeat Medusa.

- Once he approaches the Gorgon's lair, he can't turn back.

- Ordeal
- He knows who Medusa is from Hermes, and uses the shield from Athena to look through, and chops off Medusa's head while they are sleeping. He put the head in his wallet and escaped from the Gorgon's using the magic cap

- Reward
- Perseus has Medusa's head in his silver magic wallet.
- Slide: 10
- Road Back
- On his way back to Seriphus, he sees Princess Andromeda tied to a rock with chains. She was intended to be a sacrifice to a sea serpent.

- Atonement
- When he gets back home, he finds his mother and Dictus are gone because she does not want to marry King Polydectus. He confronts the King with Medusas head at a party and turns him to stone.

- We're all so happy!
- With King Polydectus dead, "all their troubles came to an end." (Hamilton 161) He saved his mom, wed Andromeda, made Dictus king, and gave Medusa's head to Athena.
