A divorce is against the church law, my answer is No!
The was year 1528, when the series of events at which the Church of England broke away from the authority of the Pope and the Roman Catholic Church, this is known as the English Reformation.
NO! The church does not approve!
Let me in, I need to get my divorce!!
Henry Vlll was responsible for the reasioning of the English Reformation. There were many reasons why he made the change, some were personal others were economic, political and religious.King Henry VIII wanted to divorce Catherine of Aragon right away.
I am now the supreme head on earth of the church of England!! wish means I can now get a divorce and marry the lady I love.
But he was denied by the Pope to do so. Henry was dead set on a divorcie so he decided to make himself head of the Church of England and not the Pope.
Henry VIII's break with Rome was an act of state, promptly primarily by political motives, but many of those who supported Henry were appalled at the abuses rife in the Catholic Church and at the corruption of the Papacy.
The break with Rome was effected by a series of acts of Parliament passed between 1532 and 1534, among them the 1534 Act of Supremacy, which declared that Henry was the "Supreme Head on earth of the Church of England".
