- Hi Ana, it's nice to see you! How are you doing today?
- I am okay, I am going through a difficult time right now.
- Oh no, what's wrong?
- My grandmother passed away last week.
- I am so sorry for your loss, I can only imagine what you are going through right now.
- Would you like to sit down and talk about it?
- Thank you, I appreciate your kind words. I don't usually talk about my feelings, but I will try.
- Here, Ana and Brian stumble upon each other as they are running errands. They start talking to one another.
- I am really nervous to be vulnerable. Will this change how he thinks of me?
- Once they start talking, Brian notices Ana looking upset. He asks how she is doing. Ana replies with the news that she has recently lost her grandmother.
- I am so sorry, Ana. I understand what you are going through, I lost my grandfather this past year, also. It has been very difficult without him.
- I felt like I couldn't go on but now that I am opening up and being vulnerable, I feel a lot better!
- My grandmother was my best friend and it was really difficult losing her. I cannot imagine her not being here.
- I am so sorry for your loss, I am glad you are talking about it with me and opening up to me.
- After hearing the news, Brian asks if Ana would like to sit down and talk about how she is feeling. She becomes unsure and nervous to be vulnerable.
- Thank you for opening up to me about your recent loss and letting me do the same. I feel so much better!
- Do you want to go get ice cream?!
- I feel so much better, too! I had all of these emotions bottled up and did not know how to express my vulnerability.

- Ana starts to question whether or not she should open up and be vulnerable to Brian. She wonders if he will think differently of her.
- Ana and Brian get to talking and she learns that Brian has also suffered the loss of his grandfather over the past year. They exchange thoughts and in turn, are both vulnerable with each other.
- After they conclude their conversation, Brian asks Ana if she would like to go get ice cream. Ana responds with an ecstatic Yes.
