We need to build under water things, but what material should we use?
In the stone age they used sticks, stones and rocks.

The Greeks used techniques frome the Stone Ages to make bricks that made the buildings stronger.
Present day architecture
The Romans made cement to connect bricks together and use under water. They got their idea of the bricks from the Greeks.
The Romans used their older cement and made it even stronger by putting volcanic ash in it.
Lets put something hard in it.

Lets make the cement even stronger and more durable under water.
Even today we use the Romans cement with volcanic ash in it.
Now this is strong and it can go under water.
