- Dear King George III, and the members of British Parliament. We, the members of the 13 Colonies of America, inform you that we will not tolerate your rule anymore. We the colonies are seceding from the British Empire…. Our reasoning is clear and just.
- Firstly, your Quartering Act has brought pain, and stress to our people. Do you think thateveryone is okay with keeping Redcoats in their homes? The redcoats who waste their foods,their resources, their entire livelihoods..
- Secondly, Parliament keeps passing laws with taxes. We do not even have representation within your Parliament. How can we receive taxes from a being so far away... a being without our own representative... a being who passes unnecessary taxes without our own consent!

- Finally, you have cut off our trade with the rest of the world. The American Colonies are not allowed to trade with any nation other than Britain. Which is only worsening our economy, and Britain's as a result.
- In conclusion, we the 13 colonies are seceding from the British Empire because of your extreme laws, orders, taxes, and stress. We have tried to negotiate, and get your attention. But there was no other way.
- Hopefully you will learn from this mistake. It wasn't just you, It was US.
