- Why are we awake so early? , even sun didn't raise grandma
- Today is not any normal day.Today is Bhogi, we are going to make Bonfire now
- Kids go and get the sticks and other old stuff that we have kept aside.
- why do we need all that now!

- Why do we make Bonfire today?
- Bhogi is holy day because goddess Godha Devi merged with Lord Sri Ranganatha Swamy at the holy place SriRangam.
- Bhogi Festival is celebrated as the first day of Harvest festival-Pongal.
- We are going to draw colorful rangoli .Balls prepared with Cow dung and decorated with turmeric and flowers were placed on the designs.These are called as 'Gobbillu'
- Today is Bhogi, 1st day of Sankranti.It was early in the morning. Grandma wakes up Ananya and bring her out to front of house.
- Gangireddu or Basavanna, A person who asks alms for rice by singing folk songs with clarinet and bull dance comes.
- Haridasu is a person who ask alms for rice by playing devotional songs with musical instrument in hand can be seen today. in the evening all families will showcase their dolls on the array of steps and organizes a party in their homes. This is called as Bommala Koluvu.
- Other family members join Ananya and grandma.
- Bhogi Pallu is special ritual where all fruits and coins were collected and showered on the heads of small children to protect them from negative forces. This ritual will bring happiness, good fortune and success.
- other meaning is, the fruits resembles nature, showering on head states that "respect the nature by keeping on head".
